Drip Irrigation Systems Installed to Keep Our Trees Hydrated During this Hot Summer

This year, the heat of the summer forced us to install drip irrigation systems to ensure that our newly planted sites get the hydration that they need.

Some of our sites use large water tanks (as seen above), which are filled by truck and run by our Operations Manager, David Turnbull, and Tree Planting Stewardship Manager, April Stevenson. We have also received permission from Durham Region to use fire hydrants near other sites to do the same.

Thank you to the incredible effort of the team, Durham Region and R&S Supreme Mobile Wash Inc. for ensuring that our trees don’t go thirsty during this heat wave.
